    Who we are

    About Lorien Web

A small studio built on one idea: the internet should serve people, not overwhelm them.

    • One-person studio
    • Nonprofits welcome
    • Built to last

    The studio

No agency sprawl. No layers of strategy decks. Lorien Web designs and builds thoughtful sites for small businesses, churches, nonprofits, and community organizations.

The work is shaped by real experience at scale—the same tools and engineering standards trusted by large tech companies and major agencies, applied with restraint and intention.

    Big tech optimizes for growth.

Big agencies optimize for billable hours.

    Lorien optimizes for longevity.

    • Sites that load fast and stay fast
    • Clear architecture that can grow with you
    • Clean code without unnecessary complexity
    • No lock-in, no bloated stacks, no mystery systems

Every project is built to be understandable, maintainable, and resilient. You own the code.

    The name

    Why Lorien?

From Tolkien’s Lothlórien—a forest realm tended for generations, not rebuilt every season.

    That’s the model.

Technology should feel steady. Calm. Intentional. Websites should be beautiful without being fragile—built to outlast whatever trend is shouting loudest this year.

    How it shows up

    • Thoughtful

Every page earns its place—nothing decorative for its own sake.

    • Steady

Calm systems you can read, update, and hand to the next person.

    • Rooted

Built to outlast the trend cycle, not chase it.

    Projects we’ve worked on.

From platform scale to mission-driven nonprofits—same engineering standards, applied with restraint.

    Meta

As a member of Meta's ecommerce team, I helped launch pages and products tied to Reality Labs, supporting the rollout of their VR headsets. The work required close collaboration across design, engineering, and product teams, with a strong focus on performance, accessibility, and reliability at scale. Operating in a high-traffic, high-stakes environment sharpened my ability to ship quickly while maintaining quality and consistency across a massive platform.
